LM386

Posted in Integrated Circuits on May 1st, 2005

Low Voltage Audio Power Amplifier. The LM386 is a power amplifier designed for use in low voltage consumer applications. The gain is internally set to 20 to keep external part count low. This amplifier IC can drive 8 ohms speaker nicely with maximum power from 250 mW to 1W depending on operating voltage and IC version. Typical operating voltage range is 6-12V

RC5532

Posted in Integrated Circuits on May 1st, 2005

A Low noise dual operational amplifier - This is a very good for many audio designs. The 5532 has THD down around 0.0003% at normal levels and frequencies. The self noise is no worse than a 10 k ohm resistor.
